Cheating Scandal: Let’s discuss the evolving story out of Michigan involving sign stealing that now involves the FBI, in addition to the NCAA and Big Ten. This most certainly signals the end of Jim Harbaugh, right? Do we think this might have also involved wagering?

CMU investigating Michigan's Connor Stalions' potential sideline presence - ESPN
GUESS WHO: The man in the hat and wearing sunglasses and goatee is suspected to be Connor Stalions on the sideline of CMU’s home opener against Michigan State. / Source: ESPN

Update: Reported on Wednesday, video footage of a suspected Connor Stalions on the sideline of the Central Michigan sideline for its season opener against Michigan State. The person suspected of being Stalions is seen wearing sunglasses with a blue dot that lights up while looking across the field. Central Michigan coach, Jim McElwain, (John is this name familiar) addressed the person on the team’s sideline at a press conference. He’s actually answered more questions about Stalions than Harbaugh has.

Road Trip to Maryland: Brian is set to visit Maryland for the Penn State game Saturday at 3:30 p.m. Maryland was upset by Northwestern; Penn State had a scare against Indiana.

Pac-12 Cannibalism: At the beginning of the season the Pac-12 was flying high. But just like we thought, they’ve begun to pick themselves off. Washington is the lone undefeated team but hasn’t looked good since beating Oregon. Oregon has the one loss but has looked better than the rest. Do we think a Pac-12 team can survive and make the playoffs at this point?

Mercedes-Benz Stadium | Atlanta's World-Class Venue
THE BEST OR NOTHING: John feels Atlanta’s Mercedes Benz Stadium is a logical spot for one of the World’s Largest Cocktail Parties in 2026 or 2027. / Source: www.mercedesbenzstadium.com

World’s Largest Cocktail Party (on the Strip?): Georgia and Florida discussing other neutral sites for the annual game?

Where would John like to see the game played in 2026 & 2027?

Atlanta? Tampa Bay? Dallas? SoFi? Las Vegas? London? Germany?

Colorado Gets Robbed (Literally): Coach Prime says gold chains were taken from the Buffalos’ Rose Bowl locker room this past weekend. Prime wants the players reimbursed. John and Gary ain’t havin’ it!

Game of the Week:

Listen Live: Missouri Tigers vs. Georgia Bulldogs 11/4
CATS & DOGS: No. 14 Missouri travels to No. 1 Georgia for an SEC East showdown between the hedges. / Source: SiriusXM Blog

14 Missouri at 1 Georgia 3:30 p.m. on CBS: SEC East showdown, with conference championship game spots on the line. The Bulldogs looked dominant last week against Florida. Do the Tigers have a shot?

This Week’s College Football Playoff Rankings (2023 Record in Parenthesis):

Other games to watch: (Be sure to listen to get John, Gary and Brian’s picks.1)

5 Washington at 24 USC 7:30 p.m. on ABC: The Trojans still have an outside chance at the Pac-12 title, but with their next three games against the Huskies, Ducks and Bruins, it’s put-up-or-shut-up time. Does Michael Penix Jr. throw for 300 yards in the first half?

13 LSU at 8 Alabama 7:45 p.m. on CBS: This has SEC West championship implications. Does Brian Kelly need a win here to stay off the hot seat and justify his massive salary? Can the Tigers pull off the upset?

16 Oregon State at Colorado 10 p.m. on ESPN: I guess with OSU’s loss to Arizona this past week, this game doesn’t really mean anything because the Beavers are pretty much eliminated from playoff or Pac-12 title contention. Colorado rots!

John’s Underdog of the Week:

25 Kansas State vs 7 Texas (-4)  Noon on FOX: Texas, without Quinn Ewers, doesn’t seem likely to do well against a K-State team that’s getting better and better.

12 Notre Dame at Clemson (-3) Noon on ABC: Clemson desperately needs a win. Notre Dame has been flying high. Prime time for an upset here.

Iowa at Northwestern (30.5): Brian likes the over on this game. Brian Ferentz is stepping down, so watch him let loose. Iowa either balls out or turns the ball over. There will be more than 4 touchdowns in this game!

Heisman Trophy Watch:

Jayden Daniels throws for 3 TDs, runs for another score as No. 19 LSU routs Army 62-0 - The San Diego Union-Tribune
JAYSMEN: Brian feels Saturday’s match-up against Alabama gives LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels the national stage for his Heisman case. / Source: San Diego Union-Tribune

Any particular match-ups or players you are looking to make a statement this week?

Still In: Jayden Daniels (QB, LSU), Jordan Travis (QB, FSU), Michael Penix Jr. (QB, Washington), Marvin Harrison Jr. (WR, Ohio St.), Carson Beck (QB, Georgia), J.J. McCarthy (QB, Michigan)

On the Fence: Bo Nix (QB, OR), Dillon Gabriel (QB, OU),
