You guys hit on one of my biggest annoyances. The SEC having a Alabama vs Chattanooga game in November. I would have a rule that If you're a P4 team you can't schedule a non-con game after say the middle of October unless it's a rival like Florida/FSU or South Carolina/Clemson.
I think Indiana got caught in the same trap that MSU did a few years ago with Mel Tucker. The Spartans had their unexpected 11-2 season in 2021 capped by a Peach Bowl win. Which in retrospect had everything to do with having a NFL running back and not so much our coach. But MSU fans, especially ones say older than 35, have PTSD from Nick Saban leaving MSU for LSU. Once it was clear MSU was having a great season, you started to hear rumblings about Tucker to the SEC or Tucker to the NFL. MSU panicked and locked him up to a big money, long term deal. The only thing saving the MSU athletic department millions of dollars was Tucker's bad behavior. Although Cignetti certainly seems like a better coach than Tucker. I'm in agreement with Jon though, if he's at Indiana more than 5 years I'll be shocked. Some SEC school, or maybe OSU or Penn State, will offer him a truckload of money to jump.
