The Tailgators Setup Podcast: Week 19

Michigan victorious, Washington hooks the horns, and Penn State's a loser, but Gary is not

The show gets off to a rough start due to Gary’s technical difficulties with the show’s theme music. As Penn State head coach James Franklin would say, “There were a lot of moving parts.”

The guys review the two College Football Playoff Semifinal games.

Michigan defeated Alabama, 27-20 in OT at the Rose Bowl. Meanwhile, Washington beat Texas, 37-31, in a game that also came down to the last play of the game.

Gary updates the current pick’em standings. Gary wins both semifinal games, while John and Brian lose both. And John still hasn’t learned his lesson picking Iowa with the over.

The guys also review Penn State’s loss to Ole Miss in the Peach Bowl, and discuss Nittany Lions head coach James Franklin’s response, and lack of personal accountability for his in-game decisions.

John wins the SEC-B1G Pencil-Thin Mustache Challenge. His family, however, prefers him with a beard, which won’t be a problem with No Shave ‘24.

The guys review the latest transfer news: Florida State lands a quarterback. Penn State adds a receiver to their pass attack. And is Brian Kelly going to Michigan?

John answers the question: Did Michael Penix Jr. get robbed of the Heisman?
