Is a 10-3 Alabama, with a loss to Florida State (ACC) better than a 9-3 Texas with a loss to Ohio State on the road in Week 1 and a victory over Texas A&M? Or is this just the way ESPN/CFP/SEC shoves a sixth SEC team into the invitational?
Texas lost to 4-8 Florida, also on the road like Alabama’s loss to FSU. Texas does not belong. Couple that with all of their close calls (OT over Kentucky and massive fourth quarter comeback to beat Miss State). They just don’t have the body of work for the whole season
